Our forensic validation expert Emil Karaus with 16 years of experience as a forensic DNA expert for the Czech Republic Police and 6 years as a HID&forensic validation specialist for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia at QIAGEN has extensive experience in forensic DNA analysis using instruments and chemistries from QIAGEN, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Promega.

Among others, he was responsible for on-site delivery of projects related to creating and validating the national DNA databases and forensic workflows such as Royal Oman Police – National DNA database in Oman, project of the national DNA database for India, complete STR forensic workflow validation for Arma dei Carabinieri – RIS Rome, and implementation and validation of FTA technology automation for Keskusrikospolitii Vantaa, Finland. These projects demonstrate his experience in the creation, validation, and implementation of technologies in the field of forensic DNA analysis.
